One of the fastest growing national health hazards today, particularly in our urban areas, is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.  FAS is the only chronic neurogenetic condition that is COMPLETELY PREVENTABLE because it is caused by the volitional alcohol intake during pregnancy.  FAS causes devastating life-long conditions that included: developmental delay, learning deficits and extremely difficult beaver problems that radiate out from the home and school all the way into the criminal justice system.  The ‘call to action’ is this: if you are a woman of child-bearing years or if you are a medical professional providing direct care to pregnant women you must know that no alcoholic consumption is the only way to prevent FAS.  Please join the Lili Claire Foundation as we raise funding and awareness to help eradicate FAS.
